The
only criteria for being on the network's list is a willingness to do the
work for a substandard price. The only way to do the work at a substandard
price and remain in business is to cut corners somewhere.
- We at Blue Ridge Auto Glass are simply not willing to gamble with
the safety of our customers or shortchange them on service or value.
- Because these networks are owned and operated by our direct competitors
(national chain retail glass shops) we are very reluctant to discuss
price with them.
- Federal laws, such as the Sherman Act and others, prohibit competitors
from discussing (fixing) prices. Not to mention that price and other
informationoften requested is our own proprietary business data that
they can use to market against us.
- We refuse to give pricing information to our competitors. When we
refuse to discuss price or share other private information with them
they tell the customer we will not cooperate and they use that as an
excuse to steer the customer to one of their "preferred" shops.
